How can I repair my windows registry myself?

Is often said that the heart and soul of the Windows OS is the Windows Registry. To some extent these experts are right. The Registry is a vital component in allowing any Windows system to function properly.
If a computer's Registry is compromised in any way the computer itself will always crash sooner or later.
The Windows Registry contains information on drivers, hardware settings, services, protocols, application data, and much more.
Many Windows "gurus" recommend that all Windows systems should have Registry maintenance done every three months, possibly even more often. Basically, remaining references to outdated items that have been replaced or are no longer in use are cleaned up. If you're one of the many who installs or uninstalls software often, you should probably fix the Windows registry more frequently. Experts suggest doing so because installing and uninstalling software are two of the primary causes for the existence of unused or unwanted entries.
Be sure to take great care. If the Computer Registry is not repaired correctly the whole system could crash.

Registry is an important and vital role while Windows starts and is in use. Regedit does not have any fail safe features that will prevent you from making harmful changes to the registry. Regedit also has no idea of what is unneeded, obsolete, or not used by the system. It also has no way of knowing what may be missing. So in itself its not the best tool to use to fix the computer registry.
When conducting an operation in Windows Registry there is a large quantity of tutorials out there to complete a particular operation. This is why it isn't essential for you to become a guru on the subject. Most registry tools will be able to this task for you automatically.
